It has been a crazy week for me! So I apologize for slacking on the blog. I have been busy getting ready for my big vacation and working with my 2012 couples. This week two more couples signed on for next year! It has also been a sad week with a death in the family :(

After months of planning we are finally leaving on Sunday. We will be traveling through Italy, Switzerland, France, and England. I hope to come back refreshed and inspired (i'm sure I will be really tired too!). I will not be available by phone but you can email me at melissa@allaboutyouproductions.com. I will have limited access to my email, so it will take longer than usual for me to respond. I will be returning on October 1st. Talk to you soon!

Everyone probably already knows that I LOVE anything mini. Something about anything mini is adorable and it always seems to taste better. A dessert table full of mini desserts would be a huge hit! I found my inspiration at bakerella.com

I LOVE these bite-sized cupcakes. They are made with red velvet cake and the cup is made from a candy mold with chocolate by Bakerella.

World Arena- Jen and Adam Michener
A Colorado couple, Jen Ray and Adam Michener married on July 2, 2011 at the World Arena. The huge hockey fans married right on the ice with ice skates on. The bridal party all wore skates as well! Adam proposed to Jen at the Pepsi Center in Denver during the Stanley Cup. The couple only felt that it was appropriate that they marry on the ice. So there at center ice on a special logo made for them, they said their vows. Dinner was served around the edge of the ice. Instead of a first dance, the couple had a first skate!

My husband (a huge hockey fan as well) would've loved this idea. Unfortunately for him, it did not fit into my vision. It would definitely take a couple like Jen and Adam that are die hard hockey fans to agree upon something like this.

It is often very difficult to get the young flower girls and ring bearers down the aisle. I usually bribe them with promises of candy or something of the sort if they do a "good job". The perfect solution? Get rid of the flower basket and pillow, bring on the lollipop. Not just any lollipop, it has the be the biggest lollipop you can find! You can find them in your wedding colors too. Regardless of what they are carrying the little tikes are going to look adorable. But if you hand them one of these to carry down with them there will be no problem getting them down the aisle and they will likely have a HUGE smile on their face :)

Couples often choose to use a wagon to include their very young loved ones in their wedding. It gets the little one down the aisle and is absolutely adorable. A cute alternative would be an antique stroller. It can give a nice vintage touch to your ceremony. An older flower girl or junior bridesmaid would look adorable pushing it down the aisle.

I hope everyone had a great labor day weekend! I also hope all of the kiddos had a great first day of school. My little Cooper (or not so little anymore) :( had his first day at preschool today. Here is a little inspiration for mommies and mommies to bee :)

I LOVE a bee theme for a baby shower or a 1st birthday party! The soft neutral colors are perfect for any gender. Little jars of honey would make sweet favors. Have a cake that looks like a bee hive. Lemonade served in mason jars would add a nice touch. Use phrases such as "have you heard the buzz?", "buzz on over", "our honey is turning one", or "mommy to bee" on invitations and other paper products.
