How cute would a Very Hungry Caterpillar 1st birthday party be? I love the story and illustrations by Eric Carle. I would really enjoy planning this kind of party for a little one :)

I love these DYI invitations from Pottery Barn. Here are the instructions.
For food a buffet with all of the food from the story book would be perfect...
lollipops, pie, chocolate cake, sausage, cheese, pickles, fruit, ...
I love this caterpillar paper lantern. Follow these easy steps from Pottery Barn to make one yourself.
These cute caterpillars I found on On to Baby would be easy to make from egg cartons.

If you are looking for a photographer for a wedding or other occassion you should check out Stevie B Photography out of Ann Arbor. She also does senior, family, and engagement sessions. Check out her website. I love Stevie Blyler's style. She is very talented and affordable. I am excited to be working with Stevie B Photography for an upcoming baby shower and a spring wedding. Look out for pictures!

I love the simplicity of Nicole Miller's gowns. So much that I wore one on my own wedding day :) Check out the new line for this spring. I love the simplicity of her designs and the really cool fabric. It really gives the bride a chance to shine, not the dress.

It is a Japanese tradition that cranes are mystical creatures. They represent longevity and good health, they are believed to live 1001 years! Folding 1001 paper cranes will make a person's wish come true. When someone gives a couple 1001 paper cranes it symbolizes their wish for the couple to have a very long, happy marriage.

I have a bride getting married next year in September that would like 1001 paper cranes at her wedding. We will see what I come up with :) I should probably start folding now.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month here are a few of my favorite things you can include in your October wedding.....
Picture
1. This limited-edition Dramatically Different
Moisturizing Lotion comes with a pink mini photo frame key chain and a Breast Cancer Awareness charm. It would make a great bridesmaid gift.

2. Donating to Breast Cancer in lieu of a wedding favor.

3. Add a pink ribbon to your bouquet and your bridesmadis' bouquets. Add one to the boutonnieres too!

4. Check out these cute pink ribbon boxes from eCrater. They would make great favor boxes to fill with candy or whatever you want.

5. Add a pink sash to your dress.

6. Pink socks anyone?

7. Brides Against Breast Cancer has a ton of ways
that you can support breast cancer awareness.  You can donate your dress, be a part of the Pink Envelope Project, host parties, etc.

8. Have the bridal party paint their toes and nails with OPIs Pink of Hearts nail color.

Last weekend we celebrated my oldest son, Cooper's 4th birthday with a vintage train party.  Check out all of the pictures on the gallery. I made the invitations and sent them to our closest family and friends.
Each child got conducter hat, red bandana, and cute wooden whistle. We served cake and ice cream. The kids loved the red and white striped straws for their juice and root beer in glass bottles for the adults.
I made these fun pom poms from red and blue tissue paper.
I used vintage suit cases through out the party space.
I love this cake! A super talented friend, Barbara Herbst made this cake for Cooper's party. It tasted as good as it looks! It was chocolate with ganache.
Apparently the singing was a little loud for him!
Cooper requested a train pinata this year. It took the boys a while to bust it open :)
I love the action shot of Cooper's friend, Ben.

Fall weather is certainly here! If you are having a fall wedding, you might want to consider a cover-up. You could wear a cute shrug, cardigan, cape, or shawl. Here are some of my favorites...

I love all of the gowns from BHLDN. They range from $600-6000, most are around $2000. There are stylists on their website that can help with any questions you may have about the gowns. Scared to order something online? You can return it within 30 days if you do not like it. Problem solved!

I LOVE signs at weddings! They direct guests on where to go and are super cute. They might be the first thing your guests see when they arrive for your wedding. Here are some signs I enjoy.....
