By MelissaMeet Lindsey and Justin! Lindsey was our BIG winner at our 2012 Before You "I Do". They are such a sweet couple and their family were just as sweet and welcoming. I had a ton of fun working with them. The forecast kept calling for rain and we had our back up plan for their outdoor ceremony. However, I told everyone that it was not going to happen (with fingers crossed)! The rain held off until we were inside after the ceremony and the party was started! It could not have been a better day. Lindsey is a DIYer done right :) Check out their full wedding gallery

I am happy to share with you Megan and Steve's wedding from September. I worked with Megan for over a year to plan her big day. She was a lot of fun to hang out with and her family was equally as great! I love it when couples are not afraid to do things a little different. So of course I was all about having their ceremony at center ice at an ice arena! Meet Megan and Steve.......
You may now face off......

By MelissaI am very excited to share this beautiful September wedding with all of you. Kayla and Bill are obviously a beautiful couple. They are also so sweet and fun. Kayla is the most organized bride that I have worked with to date! She made my job super easy. I loved that she knew what she wanted and went for it. I love the colors she chose, navy, pink, and gold. Check out the full gallery
here.
The forecast called for rain but it managed to hold off for the ceremony. It was definitely chilly, but it turned out great.
The seating cards were attached to a bride or groom cake pop by A2 Sweets.
The dance floor was packed the whole night! This seems to always be the case for Elysium Entertainment.

By MelissaJust a month ago today Andrew and Margarita were married in Dexter, MI. They are such a sweet couple and they were a ton of fun to work with. Margarita wanted red, gold, and white as her colors. Being from Honduras, she wanted to also incorporate some Latin elements into her wedding. Mariachi Band! The reception was lively and filled with lots of dancing! Click

By MelissaIn March I had the pleasure to work with a really great couple, Leslie and Erin. It was a great kick off to the wedding season. Their ceremony took place at the lovely Inn at St. Johns in Plymouth and the reception was held at the Meeting House in downtown Plymouth. There was a bit of a vintage theme to the wedding and the colors were hunter green, pale pink, and gold. The reception space looked absolutely beautiful with the ivory linens, gold chiavari chairs and the gorgeous centerpieces with esperanza roses. The whole day went great and they sure knew how to party! Click

By MelissaThis past summer I had the pleasure of working with a really fun couple, Sarah and Ryan. Their family and friends were a blast. Their wedding had a woodland chic style to it and their colors were light pink and slate gray. Sarah chose peonies for most of her flowers (my absolute favorite flower!). I really enjoyed adding some little touches to their big day. I made the table signs and stands for them out of birch wood. I made the wishing tree out of manzanita branches and their seating cards out of pieces of wood. Click

This wedding was so much fun and just as much work! I knew that an Indian wedding would be a lot more work because of all of the festivities and customs, but really I had no idea! I was at the venue Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and it left me beyond exhausted. I learned so much. The whole celebration turned out beautifully and the couple were a complete joy to work with. Friday there was a lunch reception and later Mehendi night. There was so much beautiful dancing, henna, and a dinner. Saturday the ceremony began in the morning with the groom entering on a horse! Everyone was following him dancing with the music blasting at 9am! The ceremony was followed by lunch. Then we had to quickly transform the ceremony space into a reception space. There was a cocktail hour and a more Americanized reception. The party did not end until 1am! Even later for the bridal party.
This is the mandap that Beejel and Timmy married under. It is so beautiful!
The gift card box I made by hand. Every single bead was put on by me :)
Every other table had a tall white vase with crystals hanging and a pink flower ball on top. Every place setting had an orchid on it. There were so many candles! My assistant, Maria loved me for that!
The other centerpieces were manzanita branches with crystals and candles hanging from them. We filled each box with white hydrangeas.
The
Lighting Guy lit the cocktail hour space with amber shades and the reception space with magenta. It really transformed the rooms. The
Whole 9 Yards did an amazing job on the sweetheart table. I love the eyelash linen.
